Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level organization engaged in transfer of latest technologies to the farming community of the district. KVK acts as a bridge between the research organization and farmers that works for solving the location specific problems (issues) of farming community in agriculture and allied fields.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Raipur is an extension based agricultural institute established by the ICAR under the jurisdiction of Agriculture University, Jodhpur to promote farmers for adoption of recent technical know how in agriculture and allied fields. The kendra was established in 2022 at Raipur which is 35 km away from district head quarter on NH-162 Raipur-Marwar, Lakki talab, Raipur (Beawar) with the acquisition of 20.0 ha land. The activities of this Kendra are being planned and executed under the technical and administrative support of Directorate of Extension Education, AU, Jodhpur. The goal of KVK is to have sustainable growth in productivity and income of agriculture and allied sectors which can be obtained by bridging the time lag between technology generation at the research institution and its transfer to the farmer’s field. Krishi Vigyan Kendra has multidisciplinary team of scientists who work enthusiastically in missionary spirit for under taking vocational training for farmers, farm women, rural youths and extension functionaries to update them with recent and proven agricultural research. KVK also involves in assessment and refinement of technology through on farm testing and front-line demonstrations..
KVK Raipur at a glance Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Raipur is one of the grass root level technology transfer institute sanctioned by ICAR working under the aegis of Agriculture University, Jodhpur. The KVK Raipur was established in 2022 with the mandates of technology transfer, refinement and training in agriculture and other allied fields to cater the needs of farming community of Beawar district.
The major objectives of KVK is to organize need based and skill oriented training programmes for practicing farmers and farm women by the principles of “Learning by doing” and “Seeing is beliving”. Considerable amount of work has been done by the KVK by way of transferring technologies related to livestock, crop production and vegetable based production system through trainings, on farm testing (OFTs), front line demonstrations (FLDs) and other extension activities..

Pali district lies in southwest part of Rajasthan State between 24’45” & 26’29” north latitudes & 72’47” & 74’18” east latitudes. The district is almost snake like in shape & resembles an irregular triangle. It is surrounded by six district namely Naogre, Jodhpur in North, Jalore & Sirohi in the west, Udaipur in the South & Ajmer in the northeast side. The district extends over a geographical area of 12387 Sq. Km. The Pali District falls under the sub tropical climate, which has four seasons viz., winter, summer, rainy, post monsoon. During the winter season the rainfall is occasional. The temperature varies 25 C to 9 C. The temperature begun to rise from March onwards & there is 48 C to 46 C. The average rainfall in the district is 472 mm to more than 90% of the total rainfall is received during the southwest monsoon season. During the monsoon period relative humidity is high varies from 60% to 80%. The summer months are driest when humidity varies from 20% to 30%. From May to September the direction of the wind are dominantly south & west. In the post monsoon & winter season the wind direction is from northeast & northwest become more common.

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra celebrate and conduct awareness programme on International Yoga day (21st June), World food day (16th October), World soil day celebration (5th December) during each year. Also conduct two preseasonal training programme, SAC meeting and other awareness programme for farmers, Farm women and Rural youth during every year.
